Responsibilities:

Manage Bank’s relationship with financial institutions in the above region as follows:

Main Relationship contact for the financial institutions – most activities will be primarily Brazil for a start and may expand to cover Chile and Peru subsequently
Manage business flows from these institutions into Asia – mainly trade, Treasury, loans, etc. Candidate needs to work closely with Singapore, London and other branches/subsidiaries to handle these business flows. He/she should work on these markets with the perspective of an Asian bank
Based in New York and work closely with Head Office to manage these relationships on a global basis
Work with Head Office to manage credit exposure of these institutions
Product Development in collaboration with appropriate product partners where there are opportunities to sell new products to these financial institutions

Skills / Experience: Candidate must possess the following skills / experience:

Field visits to Latin America for customer calls at least once a quarter
Product pricing and product customization for customers from these markets. This will include working with other branches to customize pricing and any market specific requirements. It will require conference calls with HO or branches in Asia either morning or evening NY time
Good trade knowledge as this will be the primary area of focus. However, products will also include loans, participation in syndicated loans, cash accounts in Asia. These other products will be supported by product partners in NY or Asia
Fluent in English and Portuguese; Spanish helpful but not required.
