One of the world’s largest engineering and project delivery firms, servicing the global resource, energy and infrastructure markets is currently seeking a Principal Mechanical Equipment Estimator.  The global engineering giant provides engineering, procurement, construction management, program management and consultancy services to clients in the Hydrocarbons, Power, Minerals and Metals and Infrastructure sectors.  They are one of a handful of global companies with the capability and track record to execute large capital projects from conception right through to operation. 

Responsibilities include: 
Develop pricing and installation hours for power plant equipment and piping systems.  This includes all major power block components as well as ancillary equipment and systems.  Develop conceptual estimates from limited design information such as equipment lists, general arrangement drawings, P&IDs, and line lists. 

Serve as Lead Estimator on selected projects.

Requirements

Minimum of five years estimating mechanical equipment for the fossil power plant industry. Proficient in developing pricing and installation hours for major power block equipment.  Familiarity with gas/liquid fired (CC,SC) and coal fired (PC, CFB) technologies, including air quality systems. People skills and the ability to meet deadlines a must. Experience in leading up small to medium sized estimates required.  Jobsite experience, international experience, and/or nuclear experience a plus.
