Job Description:

Top, global medical diagnostics giant, currently on the move with many new and interesting developments, seeks a Patent Counsel. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years experience in chemistry-related arts (i.e. chemistry, biology, biochemistry) or other life science disciplines.

Reporting directly to the Vice President, Patents and Licensing, the position will primarily support the R&D and Business Development teams. Responsibilities will include (but not be limited to) managing outside counsel, some in-house drafting and prosecution of U.S. and foreign patent applications, along with transactional and freedom-to operate. Mentorship in some of the areas mentioned will be considered depending on overall experience. This position also requires the ability to develop partnerships with business leaders and excellent client relationship skills.
