Job Description:

The NOC is seeking a qualified individual whose primary responsibilites will be to provide network support and monior priceline’s core infrastructure, business network and business partner infrastructure. Individual will monitor and maintain Priceline’s Internet backbone, resolve, troubleshoot and open trouble tickets, escalate issues from Technical Support and/or Commercial Operations as well as other departments and follow proper triage procedures when escalating to others inside or oustside of Netowrk Operations. 

Qualified candidate should have some knowledge of UNIX/Linux and be familiar with implemented protocol standards (SMTP, POP, DNS etc.) TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DNS, Email, News, Modems, Network Access Servers, Ethernet Switches, CSU/DSU, Routers, Sun OS/Solaris, and Microsoft WIN32 Operating Systems. Must be extremely reliable, as well as have excellent troubleshooting and communication skills. Be  personable and effectively interact with employees and supervisors.  Some IP routing experience and/or knowledge and previous usage of monitoring systesm is required.
