Job Description:

Our client, located in Westchester County is a financial Service company, one of the largest in Westchester that virtually operates as a bank. They are currently seeking a Director of Systems to join their team.:

The Director of Systems will  manage Infrastructure, Networks, Servers, and Security. The candidate will serve as primary contact for production support issues in addition to evaluating and recommending new system hardware and software. The Director of Systems will also oversees Licensing and Maintenance Agreements.

In addition, the Director of Systems will also:

• Ensure IT operates within defined budgetary, operational, and SLA parameters. Owns system logs, server capacity, and systems maintenance functions. Participates in systems development efforts as required.
• Maintains current knowledge of server hardware and new technology including trends, best practices, developments in IT and regulations.
• Stays abreast of new Microsoft technology and industry trends.
• Oversees formulation, implementation, security and maintenance of information systems products and services.
• Purchases system equipments as required.
• Leads Infrastructure projects, and other projects as directed.
• Coaches, motivates, directs and supervises IT personnel including but not limited to hiring, disciplinary action, performance reviews, career development plans, etc.
• Interacts with Client Support to resolve end user problems.
• Monitors network, analyzes data flow and performs diagnostics. 

Qualifications:

• College Degree in computer science or related field.
• 4 – 5 years of computer experience in similar position; 3-5 years management in related position preferably at a credit union, bank, or other financial institution.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. 
• Knowledge of systems integration and security best practices.
• Must have implemented PC hardware and software and local and wide area networks including routers (CISCO). 
• Must have working knowledge of Microsoft 2000 platforms (MCSE preferred) and network protocols.  Unix / Linux experience is a plus; DBA experience also a plus.
