Position will provide strategic scientific guidance to improve the quality of company’s early development programs. Providing a high level of medical & scientific input to disease areas emerging global products and clinical project teams for neuropsychiatric drugs candidates.
Responsibilities include, (not limited too)
Provide high-level medical and scientific input to Disease Area, Emerging/Global Product
Provide high level, medical and scientific input into pre-clinical and early clinical projects, particularly with respect to the biological mechanisms underlying pathophysiology.
Key contribution will be examination of these biological mechanisms in man in order to validate putative drug targets, to create novel segmentations of syndromally diagnosed diseases, and to detect drug actions (biomarkers).
Develop and validate novel enabling methodologies, in close collaboration with internal and external experts, for application in Proof of Principle and Proof of Concept studies
Develop a strong relationship with pre-clinical colleagues, other R&D functions, and external opinion leaders.
Develop novel, strategic methodologies with emphasis on psychiatric disorders.

Requirements:

Medical degree and specialist knowledge in psychiatry
Knowledge of clinical research techniques in areas of expertise
Experience in designing / executing controlled clinical trials to evaluate novel methods, biomarkers, or candidate drugs (Phase I/II).
Solid understanding of pre-clinical behavioral neuropharmacology
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Intelligent, creative, innovative, proactive, and results-oriented
Capable of making challenging decisions
