ACTUARIES--MULTIPLE POSITIONS
Company: Financial Services
Location: Hartford, CT or Philadelphia, PA
Posting Date: 2/20/2010
Salary: Open
Job Description:
Top Financial Services/Insurance company is presently looking for a few select individuals to join their Actuarial Executive Development Program, which is where the company grooms their senior managers. This program is specifically designed for ASA’s or FSA-track individuals who preferably have passed a couple of exams; however, those with a focused desire to ultimately become an FSA will be considered even without having yet passed any exams. Candidates must possess 2+ years professional work experience in an actuarial role, preferably in a Financial Services or Insurance company.
The whole intent of this program is to leverage your schooling and professional work experience into a superior career opportunity, and ultimately, an upper-management role in the company (either within or outside of the actuarial area). This is a rotational program, and candidates who secure these opportunities work directly with the head of the program to secure rotational assignments which both increase their knowledge of the company and broaden their skill set. Rotational assignments can definitely have Management or Supervisory responsibility, depending on the candidate’s experience level. In addition, candidate input and desires in crafting their own career path are strongly considered and evaluated, so each person’s path becomes individually tailored. This is most definitely not a “cookie-cutter” program. Following completion of the rotations, the object is to have earned a senior Management position in the company’s financial or business operations/strategy area.
The salaries the company offers are extremely competitive, and the continuing coaching, training and mentoring are second to none.
The company is committed to increasing responsibility, providing visibility within the organization, has a great support network, and provides study time and financial support during the FSA exam process.
